Description
The Sukkur Institute of Business Administration is a public sector degree awarding Institute approved by Higher Education Commission and chartered by the Government of Sindh. In 1994, the Sukkur Institute of Business Administration was established for business education, initially in the hired building of Public School, Sukkur. The Senate is the governing body of the Institute. Governor of Sindh is the chancellor. Initially, Sukkur IBA was affiliated to IBA Karachi.
Over time, the institute evolved into a comprehensive university offering a wide range of academic programs beyond business studies. In recognition of its academic excellence and institutional development, Sukkur IBA was granted university status in 2017, becoming Sukkur IBA University. It now offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees in fields such as Business Administration, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Education, Mathematics, and Physical Sciences, with a strong emphasis on entrepreneurship, innovation, and community development.
