Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), located in Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan, is one of the oldest and most prestigious medical institutions in the country. Originally established as Sindh Medical School in 1881 at Civil Hospital Hyderabad, it was upgraded to Sindh Medical College in 1942 and later renamed Liaquat Medical College in 1951. The institution was eventually relocated to its current expansive campus in Jamshoro in 1963 and was granted full university status in 2001. Today, LUMHS continues to uphold a legacy of over a century in medical education and healthcare service, making it the second-oldest medical school in Pakistan and the oldest in the province of Sindh.
