Board of Intermediate Secondary Education Shaheed Benazirabad

Board of Intermediate Secondary Education Shaheed Benazirabad

Description

The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Shaheed Benazirabad (BISE SBA) was formed in 2015 following a decision to establish a separate board to oversee examinations in the Shaheed Benazirabad region. Previously, the area was under BISE Hyderabad's jurisdiction, but the creation of BISE SBA allowed it to operate independently for Matric (SSC) and Intermediate (HSSC) examinations.

Based in Nawabshah, BISE Shaheed Benazirabad serves the Sindh districts of Shaheed Benazirabad, Naushahro Feroze, Sanghar, and Dadu. The board is responsible for affiliating schools and colleges in these districts, organizing and conducting SSC and HSSC annual and supplementary examinations, and issuing results and certificates to successfully passing candidates.

Since its inception, BISE SBA has implemented an online system for functions such as form submission, fee payment, enrollment, and affiliation. While some services—like result checking and digital portals—are available online, other procedures such as duplicate certificates, migration certificates, and corrections must be completed in person at the board office.

In a progressive move, BISE SBA entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Inter‑Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) in October 2024. This agreement enabled the IBCC to access BISE SBA records via secure, read-only APIs, enabling faster and more reliable verification and attestation of academic records across Pakistan.

Examinations under BISE SBA are usually conducted during April and May each year, with specific deadlines for submission of exam forms announced well in advance—e.g., for the SSC Part II 2025 exams, the deadline for form submission for candidates in its jurisdiction was January 20, 2025, with varying fee structures depending on public or private candidacy.

As a result, BISE Shaheed Benazirabad continues to evolve its systems to improve accessibility, efficiency, and transparency in the administration of secondary and higher secondary education within its region.
